Two new AOBP Executive Committee Members announced

The AOBP has appointed two new Executive Committee members to its board to take the Association into 2015.

The heads of two prominent broker firms join the
13-strong board as of November 1st 2014.

Kevin Jones of commercial finance master broker Omega Group and Joe Breeden of Crystal Mortgages will make their first appearance as part of the Committee next week at the
Annual General Meeting being held on November 27th.

Joe Breeden, Managing Director of loan distributor Crystal Mortgages, said: “It is a genuine privilege to be invited to join the Executive Committee of the AOBP, and a move in which I will take great personal pride and look forward to accepting greater responsibility. As an important Association in this sector, it is critical that we are ever-improving, promoting best practice, and raising service levels to protect the customer at every turn.”

Kevin Jones, CEO of Omega Group commented: “I am delighted to be joining the board of the AOBP and hopefully I will be able to offer assistance to the board and membership over the coming months and years.  Having been involved within the industry for over 35 years I have seen many changes take place and have some strong views about some of the pending changes to our industry as well as those proposed by the FCA and lenders alike.”

Kevin’s previous involvement with the National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (NACFB) as a main board director and as Chairman will be of particular value to the AOBP and its plans for the upcoming year.

On behalf of the existing Committee members, Chairman Rob Jupp stated: “We have a huge year ahead of us and the addition of Joe and Kevin to the Executive Committee will go a long way in achieving the ambitious goals we have set for ourselves. Both bring a wealth of knowledge and are well-respected in the market and I very much look forward to their contribution to the growing Association.”
